VF: 2 - Ackles Family

It happened! A little orphaned girl named Gallia knocked on our door and I adopted her! But, unlike Gregory, I couldn't think of a variation of Gallia that I liked, so her name is now Jennifer. Partly because of Jensen, and partly because my (real life) mother is named Jennifer.

Lizzy's 40, Jensen's 38, Rowan is 13, Gregory is 10, Haley's 9 (almost 10), Lucas is 8, and little Jenny is 3. If another orphan comes, I'll definitely adopt, but I am happy with the family the way it is now. ^_^

Young and Old

VF: 1 - Hale Family

Jasper's 45 and going gray! I didn't recognize him when I saw him walking out of the workshop just now. lol. Below are some before and after pics. He's now level 6 on his job, by the way. I got a shot of his promotion celebration.
Alice, meanwhile, still looks the same at she always did - and she's 48! I guess men and women really do age differently. She's still at level 4.
Iris is 13 and for some reason playing cook more nowadays. Little Brandon is 9 now. I got a cute pic of them playing in the sandbox together, though it kinda looks like Iris is kicking him. lol.
OMG! As I was typing, Jasper went and prepared a meal for the family - by himself! Aw, I'm so proud. Now if I could only get them all to come to the table by themselves. Oh, well.
They did sit for a minute - in order of age - but they left Brandon to eat alone after I took a pic. lol. Got to get them to clean up now...

VF: 2 - Ackles Family

I've decided to stop pushing my luck and just be happy with four kids. I tried one last time a few hours ago and Lizzy and Jensen both left to work on their careers. Mind you, I'd be more than happy to take in a couple of orphans if they came to the door - I'd been planning on six kids for this family.

Wow, this "prepare yourself a meal" thing must be catching among my families. Lizzy just made a meal, and then had enough common sense to sit down and eat! Jensen wasn't that hungry, so by the time I got three kids in the seats, he'd already left. I just added the fourth to take a pic.

Anyway, Lizzy's 40 now, and at level 3. Jensen is 38 and at level 4. Rowan is 13 - they grow up so fast! - but I've already caught him in the sandbox and playing daddy. lol. Greg is 10, Haley's 9, and Lucas is 7.

Kinda looks like they're listening to something Lizzy's saying, doesn't it? ^_^

Virtually Me!

VF: 2 - Ackles Family

This family I created off of myself.

Lizzy is a level 3 mail-order butcher and thinks kids would be nice. She's currently 39.

Jensen (Ackles, as in the actor) is a level 4 marketing agent, 37, and said maybe to kids.

Rowan is twelve. He likes quiet(!) and still plays in the sandbox. lol.

Gregory was adopted when he was three. Originally named Gregor, but I like Gregory better. He's 9 now and likes butterflies. And, funny enough, looks more like Jensen that his biological sons.

Haley is 8, but most of the time she's the same age as Greg, so she's almost 9. She likes cooking, and so she's mostly found playing cook alongside her mommy. Plus, she looks like her mom. ^_^

Finally, Lucas is 7 and likes technology. He looks exactly like Rowan too

Lizzy and Jensen have been trying to have another baby for quite some time now. The baby boost didn't work either. I think this might have something to do with Jensen's 'maybe,' or perhaps the fact that he gets off the bed half-way through the dance to work on his career or watch tv! It figures that my family would only stop at four kids and only have one girl, since I want a big family with lots of girls. :( Right now I'm hoping for more orphan events.

Weird, But Cool

So ... my trial ended yesterday. And then my parents bought Virtual Families for me!! Con: I opened the game and my families (specifically Alice and Jasper) weren't there. So, no problem (though I missed them), I started a new game and went to bed. Pro: I woke up this morning and all five of my games had been restored!! So, I'm back to blogging and tweeting about VF. Plus, since I have more room here, I'll also be blogging about my four other families. ^_^

Of Death and Trials

Ignore the last post for now. I just downloaded a trial of Virtual Families over on HP games and I'm so bored I wanna blog about it! Btw, on HP games, every trial lasts as long as you play it (like a week, if you were constantly playing). Most of their games only have two unlimited trials, but I think VF has four!

Hales: Twilight Family

Started with Alice, a film processor. She liked meat and definitely wanted kids. She married Jasper, a candle maker who disliked laundry and said "No Way!" to kids. They had the triplets right away, despite Jasper's preference. Rosalie, Violetta, and Lilliana all liked rocks. When they triplets were four, Alice and Jazz tried for a boy, and had Heather. Heather likes art and dislikes pizza, and loved playing cook when she was a kid. Iris was born when Heather was six. She plays mommy a lot, but doesn't have any likes or dislikes.

I started this family while playing a (one-hour) trial on another site. When that trial ended, I thought the game was lost. But it was carried over to this trial! Unfortunately, the Hales were left alone for about four game years, so their food supply was gone when I opened the game. Due to lack of food, all of the peeps were down to 0 on health and happiness, some were sick. And Lilliana, fifteen at the time, died from starvation. :(

In an attempt to make them happier (once they were cured and had a good supply of food) I bought two upgrades- bathroom and new sheets (a neighbor gave them a hammock free). This worked a little. In another attempt, I made Alice and Jasper have a baby. Their sixth and final (because the game only allows six), was a boy! Brandon Whitlock Hale, whose first activity was banging dishes. ^_^

Rose, Heather and Iris gradually became happier - perhaps because Heather and Iris were still kids and so they could play and not do household stuff. In any case, it wasn't until Brandon was two years old that I saw Alice's and Jasper's status go to happy. This might have had something to do with the food/health issue. Vi seemed to take it the hardest. It was about fifteen more minutes before her status went to happy.

Now the whole family is doing much better. Health is almost all the way up on the older members, and happiness comes and goes like normal. Alice is 41 (level 3 career); Jasper is 38 (level 5 career); Rosalie is 18, and thinks kids "Would Be Nice." She'll be getting the house when her parents pass; Violetta is also 18, and says "Maybe" to kids; Heather is 13 and playing mommy more than cook now; Iris just turned 7; and finally, Brandon is 3. I miss Lily a lot- such a shame she died at 15 instead of an adult, though I wouldn't have Brandon then. Rose and Vi will be going off to college soon.

Virtual Living

Forget my last post. Due to computer problems that are preventing me from doing the one-hour game trial downloads, I won't be using this blog for gaming reviews for a long time. Instead, I've decided to post pictures of my games on Virtual Families, the great new game by Last Day of Work. I'll be getting VF later this month, so to pass the time I'll start blogging about my VV2 tribes. Enjoy.

After I overheard a conversation about how one person does whole tribes of people only named with one letter, I decided to try this with last names in my tribe "Ennamon."

These two villagers were the adult who fell over the waterfall and found the five children. Balun, as oldest at twenty-three, was given the last name of "A." Bixa, as nineteen, I knew would become his wife, so she also gained the name. The marking in her name means that she married into the name.

Balun is a Master Scientist, Adept Builder and Trainee Parent.

Bixa is a Master Builder, Adept Scientist and Trainee Parent.

They have three children and one grandchild.

Solo was fourteen, and Lakia was thirteen when the game started.

Solo is a Master Farmer, Adept Builder, and Trainee Parent

Lakia is an Adept Scientist, Builder and Parent.

They have three children together.

Can't remember how old this pair was.

Papu is a Master Scientist, Adept Farmer, and Trainee Parent.

Papa is a Master Farmer and Adept Parent.

They have two children.

Samar is the last of the original seven.

Samar is a Master Scientist, Adept Farmer, Adept Builder, Trainee Doctor, and Trainee Parent. Going for the title of first Esteemed Elder!

Nishi, the eldest daughter of Balun and Bixa (hence her A-D name), is an Adept Scientist, Trainee Builder, and Trainee Parent.

They just had their first child.

Luna is the eldest child of Solo and Lakia. She's an Adept Farmer.

Kai is the second daughter of Balun and Bixa. She's an Adept Scientist.

Koi's the second child of Solo and Lakia. He's a Trainee Farmer.

Agate is the third and final daughter of Balun and Bixa. No talents as of yet.

Paco is the last child of Solo and Lakia. He has a bit of Healing experience.

Kissa is the first daughter of Papu and Papa. No talents yet.

Tara is Papu and Papa's second daughter. She has farming talent.

Miro is the first child of Samar and Nishi, and the grandson of Balun and Bixa. He has research talent.

I'll post more about the Ennamons tomorrow. I'm going to check on everyone once more before pausing the game for the night.
