Of Death and Trials

Ignore the last post for now. I just downloaded a trial of Virtual Families over on HP games and I'm so bored I wanna blog about it! Btw, on HP games, every trial lasts as long as you play it (like a week, if you were constantly playing). Most of their games only have two unlimited trials, but I think VF has four!

Hales: Twilight Family

Started with Alice, a film processor. She liked meat and definitely wanted kids. She married Jasper, a candle maker who disliked laundry and said "No Way!" to kids. They had the triplets right away, despite Jasper's preference. Rosalie, Violetta, and Lilliana all liked rocks. When they triplets were four, Alice and Jazz tried for a boy, and had Heather. Heather likes art and dislikes pizza, and loved playing cook when she was a kid. Iris was born when Heather was six. She plays mommy a lot, but doesn't have any likes or dislikes.

I started this family while playing a (one-hour) trial on another site. When that trial ended, I thought the game was lost. But it was carried over to this trial! Unfortunately, the Hales were left alone for about four game years, so their food supply was gone when I opened the game. Due to lack of food, all of the peeps were down to 0 on health and happiness, some were sick. And Lilliana, fifteen at the time, died from starvation. :(

In an attempt to make them happier (once they were cured and had a good supply of food) I bought two upgrades- bathroom and new sheets (a neighbor gave them a hammock free). This worked a little. In another attempt, I made Alice and Jasper have a baby. Their sixth and final (because the game only allows six), was a boy! Brandon Whitlock Hale, whose first activity was banging dishes. ^_^

Rose, Heather and Iris gradually became happier - perhaps because Heather and Iris were still kids and so they could play and not do household stuff. In any case, it wasn't until Brandon was two years old that I saw Alice's and Jasper's status go to happy. This might have had something to do with the food/health issue. Vi seemed to take it the hardest. It was about fifteen more minutes before her status went to happy.

Now the whole family is doing much better. Health is almost all the way up on the older members, and happiness comes and goes like normal. Alice is 41 (level 3 career); Jasper is 38 (level 5 career); Rosalie is 18, and thinks kids "Would Be Nice." She'll be getting the house when her parents pass; Violetta is also 18, and says "Maybe" to kids; Heather is 13 and playing mommy more than cook now; Iris just turned 7; and finally, Brandon is 3. I miss Lily a lot- such a shame she died at 15 instead of an adult, though I wouldn't have Brandon then. Rose and Vi will be going off to college soon.
